I had the great pleasure of helping relaunch a mobile phone recycling initiative at work yesterday. Along with Vodaphone and Regenersis reps I spoke to around 30 people and got a decent amount of pledges to bring phones in.

So far the return count stands at 10 phones. This means 10 phones that will either be reused in developing countries or be fully recycled with zero landfill.

This is the learning link @ Regenersis.com (I’m not affilliated – just impressed by the service).

This is a charitable initiative but in these times of belt tightening a lot of people I spoke to were more interested in their old phones value to themselves… what can you do? Does an extra £10 really go that far nowadays?
